Prepping for teaching

I’ve been knitting koala body parts in preparation for teaching a class in making a knit, felted koala.  Having some of the pieces made up ahead of time means that I can demonstrate how to do certain parts of the project without having to knit blindingly fast during the class.

Additionally, it has given me a chance to refine my class syllabus and figure out what the homework should be for the second class.

Koala parts:

Clockwise from the lower left, back (folded in half at spine with backs of arms, legs pointing right), two outer ears, and front (lying flat with front of arms, legs outstretched.)  These bits are demonstration-ready for the head attachment as well as sewing up techniques.
