Sample knitting portfolio

Whether you are a knitwear designer or a yarn maker you know that having a great sample helps to sell your work. The sample for your pattern photos, the garments you take to the show for customers to try on — these are the visuals that drive your sales.

I have room in my schedule for new clients, contact me to talk about your needs and how I can help.

Bodie Sweater for Sincere Sheep

Beautifully textured sweater with brioche shawl collar and inset pockets. Designed by Blue Bee Studio/Elizabeth Doherty, knit in Sincere Sheep Cormo Worsted.  The small details really make this sweater and in the process of knitting the sample I fell in love with another yarn. The Cormo was so lovely to knit with I was sorry to let the sweater go.

Hawkbit Cardigan for Savory Knitting

Reverse stockinette cardigan with raglan sleeves, knit and sewn-on button band and pockets. Knit in Jamieson & Smith Shetland Supreme Jumper Weight. Love the subtle stitch details and the well-thought out design elements that Amy brought together in this pattern.

Sugar Mountain Shawl for Savory Knitting

Garter stitch shawl bordered with lace panel and ruffle. Knit in Wing & A Prayer Farm The Happiest Yarn 2017. This yarn was SO smooshy and delightful to knit with. Amy’s shawl design is just lovely with the lace panel to add interest and the ruffle for a flirty edging.

Calyx Pullover for Blue Bee Studio

Pullover with wide ribbed neck front lace panel and narrow lace panel on sleeves. Knit in Shibui Knits Reed & Shibui Knits Twig (held together). A tight deadline made this sweater an exciting challenge to knit. Fortunately the pattern, from Blue Bee Studio, was as always excellent and detailed.
